The Kingdom Hearts series has achieved a remarkable global sales figure of over 36 million copies as of March 2022. The original Kingdom Hearts game, released for PlayStation 2 in 2022, sold an impressive 6.3 million copies, while Kingdom Hearts III achieved an even more remarkable feat by reaching 6.7 million copies within just two years of its release.

Kingdom Hearts is undeniably one of the most outstanding RPG series ever released, judging by its impressive total sales. While the series does have several spin-offs that delve deeper into the story, not all of them have gained the same level of popularity as the main game. However, it can be said that Square Enix was satisfied with it from a commercial standpoint.
