More than 800 people are creating a fan remake of Shrek 2 – the trailer is insane

As per 3GI, the masterminds behind the project, Shrek 2 Retold is an impressive collaborative effort that meticulously recreates every scene of the iconic sequel.

The project boasts a team of over 800 skilled animators, filmmakers, musicians, and storytellers. Among them are renowned individuals such as Phil Lord and Chris Miller from Spider-Verse, as well as the late Gilbert Gottfried. Additionally, there are numerous talented artists and animators who may not be as well-known but are equally impressive in their abilities.

The trailer above provides a sneak peek into the chaos that lies ahead. This project features a wide range of content, including Family Guy and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It also showcases a collection of entertaining live action clips that are sure to make you laugh. They vary from beautifully recreated interpretations of classic scenes to truly unsettling imagery.
