AMD Ryzen 9000 Series Announced! What are its features?

The much-awaited reveal of AMD’s next generation of CPUs has finally happened. During Computex 2024, an announcement was made on the AMD Ryzen 9000 series. The new Zen 5 architecture-based processors will be referred to as “Granite Ridge” codenames.

Let’s examine the features of the various models that will be included in the new processors as well as their number in more detail.

All Models and Features in AMD Ryzen 9000 Series

It is required to briefly discuss the Zen 5 architecture first. With its new design, AMD, which will stick with the AM5 platform, adds support for DDR5 memory and provides a greater IPC gain of 16% over Zen 4. Aside from this, the processors’ L3 and L2 caches have both been improved.

Higher speeds of EXPO memory support are now possible with the modifications made here. It should be noted that the bandwidth boost in AI loads is another benefit of the Zen 5 design that drew our notice. The graphics bandwidth for AI loads has increased by 100% in the new architecture. Let’s not forget that LLMs are eligible for a 20% AI acceleration.
