Blizzard expertly launched World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic on the night of May 21 Moscow time. Alongside the release, the developers unveiled a release trailer for the classic add-on.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm

Cataclysm Classic Stage 1 Content:

  • 7 new locations: Mount Hyjal, Vashj’ir, Twilight Highlands, Uldum, Deepholm, Kezan and Gilneas

  • 9 new dungeons: Blackrock Caverns, Throne of the Tides, Tornado Pinnacle, Stone Core, Lost City of the Tol’vir, Halls of Creation, Grim Batol, Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep

  • Character development up to level 85 with new abilities and talents

  • Development of professions up to rank 525

  • 8 new factions: Guardians of Hyjal, Earthen Ring, Ramkahen, Therazane, Hellscream Battalion/Defenders of Tol Barad, Wildhammer Clan/Dragonmaw Clan

  • 2 new battlegrounds: Battle for Gilneas and Two Peaks

  • Tol Barad and the Battle of Tol Barad event

  • Flights around Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms

  • New loot and rewards

The first PvP season is set to kick off on May 29, followed by the launch of the Twilight Bastion, Blackwing Descent, and Throne of the Four Winds raids on May 31. Finally, the Baradin Fortress raid will make its debut on June 5.
