OMYOG, the developer of the highly anticipated dino shooter FEROCIOUS, has released an exciting fan trailer inspired by the iconic Half-Life universe. This video demonstrates a professional-level portrayal of what the trailer for the highly anticipated sequel to Half-Life 2: Episode 2 could potentially look like.
In this video, the author expertly delved into the realm of the Harvesters, meticulously laying the groundwork for their upcoming endeavor to reclaim dominion over the Earth. Clearly, their world is vastly different from Earth.
For this trailer, the developer expertly crafted nearly all of the visual elements. Mastering concepts, models, textures, rigs, and animations. The only exceptions were the expressions on G-man and Dr. Breen’s faces.
The Half Life 2 – Raising The Bar art book served as a major source of inspiration for this short film. Additional sources of inspiration included the films Alien, Prometheus, Denis Villeneuve films, and the game Scorn.
OMYOG has no intentions of developing this into a complete game. So don’t anticipate another free HL3 fan game, as it won’t be happening.
