According to a new post published by the official Redfall X account, the latest update brings single-player mode and more.
The Arkane Austin team is preparing the final update for Redfall, the vampire-themed shooter action game that has captivated game lovers. As you are aware, due to recent developments, the decision was made to close the game’s developer studio and halt the development of all projects. Now, a final innovation will be introduced to this production, allowing the game to run its course with expert precision.
As per a recent update from the official Redfall X account, players can expect some exciting new features in the game’s latest update. These include an offline mode, a single-player mode with pause support, and new slot systems, among other enhancements. After Microsoft’s recent announcement of the studio’s closure, rumors started swirling about the potential cancellation of the update. Rest assured, we can confirm that the latest update is en route.
Single-Player Mode Coming for Redfall
The release date for the latest update of Redfall has yet to be announced. In February 2023, three months prior to the game’s release, it was confirmed that a constant online connection would be required, even for the single-player mode of the game. The studio later announced that this requirement would be lifted for players who prefer to play the game solo. Thus, it can be concluded that the upcoming single-player mode will function without the need for an internet connection.
In a recent announcement, Microsoft revealed its decision to close down Arkane Austin, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog, and Roundhouse, all of which are Bethesda studios. This move comes as a surprise to many employees. After this, it was anticipated that the game would no longer receive any additional updates. In September 2023, Pete Hines, the head of publishing at Bethesda, expressed the company’s commitment to improving Redfall, even though the game did not receive a favorable response upon its release.
