New AirTag with improved chip and precision tracking will be released next year

Apple is diligently developing the upcoming iteration of AirTag, as per Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, slated for release in the middle of next year.

In his weekly Power On report on Sunday, Gurman mentioned that Apple has initiated trial production runs with partners in Asia, demonstrating their expertise in the field. The upcoming version of the tracker will include enhanced location tracking capabilities and a brand new U-series chip developed by Apple to optimize the accuracy of the detection feature.

Earlier this year, Gurman suggested that Apple stores had ample AirTag stock, resulting in a delay for the new version until 2025. Make the most of the goodness.

Apple expertly launched the first AirTag in 2021. This compact tracking device is designed to assist users in locating their belongings with ease. With the help of Bluetooth and Apple’s Find My network, users have the ability to effortlessly attach AirTag to their valuable items like keys or bags. This allows them to conveniently track the location of their belongings using the Find My app on any Apple device, be it an iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
