Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland is designed to offer a free-to-play gaming experience, allowing you to connect and play with fellow online gamers. It was meant to be a survival shooter set in a fictional rural Middle America, with all the expertise and finesse of a seasoned professional. Players assumed the roles of skilled Division agents hailing from various regions of the country. They were tasked with responding to a plea for assistance and delving into the enigmas of a rural community grappling with a dire situation.
Overall, this has a similar feel to The Division, but takes place in a different setting. The shooting mechanics in this game are incredibly reminiscent of the original, showcasing a level of skill and finesse that truly sets it apart. The graphics are impressively well-done, even for a beta version. It’s evident that the game draws upon assets from The Division 2, enhancing the overall visual experience.
It remains puzzling why Ubisoft chose to invest in Heartland. Nobody requested or anticipated a free-to-play shooter in this particular environment. In addition, The Division 2 has already achieved significant success, particularly in terms of sales. Therefore, it would be more logical to prioritize its sequel. Indeed, it appears that The Division 3 is currently being developed.
