Dotemu has unveiled an extensive gameplay trailer for Metal Slug Tactics, showcasing its tactical RPG mechanics, roguelike elements, isometric camera, and charming pixel graphics.
The developers describe Metal Slug Tactics as a new and innovative approach to the beloved Metal Slug series of 2D action games, which gained popularity in the 90s. The project will provide 20 missions that can be replayed multiple times, along with 110 meticulously crafted maps. It features 9 distinct characters, 36 weapons, and 176 modifications to enhance gameplay. Additionally, players can engage in challenging boss battles and enjoy stunning pixel graphics reminiscent of classic 16-bit games. The immersive experience is further enhanced by a captivating soundtrack composed by Tee Lopes.
The game is set to launch by the end of 2024 on various platforms including PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
