Hellblade 2 developer's new game has already been greenlit by Xbox

Microsoft has given the green light to the next project from Ninja Theory, the talented developer behind Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. Rest assured, there are no intentions to shut down the studio, despite some understandable concerns from fans following the recent closures of Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks.

Ninja Theory fans are expressing concern about the relatively low advertising leading up to the launch of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 tomorrow, fearing that the game might not receive the attention it deserves. In addition, Xbox spokesperson Aaron Greenberg had assured gamers of an extensive worldwide advertising campaign for Hellblade 2. However, a recent report from Windows Central suggests that these concerns are unwarranted.

Windows Central reports that Ninja Theory is currently developing two games alongside Hellblade 2. These include the previously announced Project Mara and another game that has already received approval from Microsoft.

Additionally, there are reports stating that Microsoft has no intentions of shutting down the studio. It’s understandable considering that the closures of the Arkane and Tango teams are connected to the restructuring of Zenimax and Bethesda.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is finally here, arriving seven years after the original game. And it was recently revealed that Tami Antoniades, a highly experienced game director at Ninja Theory, has departed from the studio. The reasons for his departure remain a mystery.
