A Formula 1 film starring Brad Pitt from the director of Top Gun: Maverick will be released in 2025

Collider has obtained exclusive information that the highly anticipated Formula 1 movie, directed by Joseph Kosinski of Top Gun: Maverick fame, is set to hit theaters on June 27, 2025. Meanwhile, the film’s budget, shot entirely in IMAX, surpassed $300 million with finesse.

The film will feature acclaimed actors Javier Bardem and Damson Idris.

In the story, a skilled racer from the 1990s (Pitt) experienced a devastating accident that forced them to retire from the sport. He then comes back to guide an aspiring driver named Idris. Bardem’s skilled protagonist will take charge of the racing team.

The film about Formula 1 is set to have a visual style reminiscent of Top Gun: Maverick. Instead of a fighter jet, the viewer will feel as though they are inside a racing car. To achieve this effect, the film crew went as far as constructing special camera boxes inside the cars.

Jerry Bruckheimer and seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton are part of the team behind the upcoming film. Expertly crafted by Apple.
