GEEKOM is widely known for its excellent mini PCs, offering several product lines designed for a variety of tasks. One of these is the IT line, which includes powerful models for professional use. In this review, we’ll be taking a look at the GEEKOM IT15 nettop, equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9-285H processor, integrated Intel Arc 140T graphics, up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, and up to 2 TB of storage expandable to 4 TB. The device also features modern connectivity, including Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB 4.0, an active IceBlast 2.0 cooling system, and Windows 11 Pro preinstalled. All of this is housed in a compact, highly durable chassis weighing just 600 grams.
The GEEKOM IT15 comes in a small, dark-colored cardboard box. The front of the box displays the device’s name, while the back details its technical specifications.
The package includes a nettop, power supply , power cable, HDMI , monitor mount with a set of screws for it, instructions and a welcome voucher.
The GEEKOM IT15 is not much different from other mini PCs in terms of design. It comes in a small black box, measuring 117 x 112 x 45.5 mm and weighing 600 grams.
The outer case is made of impact-resistant plastic, while the interior and base are made of metal. This means the nettop can withstand accidental drops and pressure of up to 200 kg. Furthermore, the manufacturer claims to have successfully passed temperature (from -20 to +55 degrees Celsius), vibration, and USB port durability tests. The latter are rated to withstand 15,000 device connection/disconnection cycles. In other words, the GEEKOM IT15 is ready to travel with confidence, as it’s ready to handle even the most challenging conditions.
The lid is adorned with the brand name. The opposite side features four rubberized feet for improved stability, with screws inside. Removing these screws allows access to the components for maintenance or upgrades. Also visible are mounting holes for a bracket, which is useful if you want to mount the nettop on the back of a monitor.
The front panel is solid. It houses two USB-A ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, and the power button. The rear panel has a ventilation grill at the top to exhaust warm air from the case. Beneath it are a power connector, two USB-4 ports (supporting 100W Power Delivery, Display Port, and external GPUs, with data transfer rates up to 40 Gbps), two HDMI 2.0 ports, one USB-A 3.2 port, one USB-A 2.0 port, and an RJ-45 2.5G port.
The side edges are almost completely covered by ventilation grilles. Additionally, an SD card reader is located on the left and a Kensington lock on the right .
To disassemble the device, you need to remove the four screws I mentioned earlier. Next, carefully remove the bottom metal panel, as it’s connected to the motherboard via a ribbon cable extending from the SATA HDD connector. This means the HDD is mounted on the cover from the inside.
Inside, we find the same metal frame for structural reinforcement, two 16GB RAM modules , a 2TB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4×4 SSD with thermal pad, and an available slot for an M.2 2242 SATA III SSD. This means the model supports RAM expansion up to 64GB by upgrading the included memory, and storage expansion with an additional SSD or HDD.
Now we unscrew two more screws and remove the motherboard. Here, too, we need to proceed carefully, as two thin wires run from it to the case. Turning it over, we find a fairly large cooler with a pair of heat pipes underneath.
Overall, the GEEKOM IT15 leaves a pleasant impression. The device features a reinforced chassis and is well-built. The design is unremarkable, but that’s not particularly important for mini PCs, as their modest size makes them unobtrusive.
The model also boasts a wide range of interfaces , allowing you to connect up to four monitors, a mouse and keyboard , high-speed external SSDs , and an external graphics card . All of this is complemented by a high-speed internet connection via an RJ-45 port, with Wi-Fi 7 available as an alternative. A second wireless module, Bluetooth 5.4, allows for seamless connection of peripherals. The new model also boasts impressive internal configurations, including the ability to upgrade RAM, add another SSD or HDD, and an active cooling system.
The GEEKOM IT15 comes with an activated version of Windows 11 Pro, eliminating the need to purchase a separate license. All you need to do is enter your Microsoft account information, and you can get started right away.
Our nettop’s processor is an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H, released in January 2025. It’s built using a 3 nm process. It has the same 16 cores and 16 threads, meaning Hyper-Threading technology is not supported. The base clock rate is 2.9 GHz, with Turbo Boost reaching 5.4 GHz. The L3 cache is 24 MB. TDP ranges from 35 to 115 watts, but our device is set at 45 watts.
The integrated Intel Arc 140T graphics card with a clock frequency of 300 MHz to 2.35 GHz is responsible for graphics rendering .
Additionally, the processor is equipped with an Intel AI Boost neural processor with a peak performance of 13 TOPS, making it ideal for AI tasks such as image generation, training, and communicating with virtual assistants.
RAM is 32 GB, consisting of two 16 GB DDR5 modules running at 5600 MHz. These modules can be upgraded to 64 GB of RAM if needed.
The storage is 2 TB in the form of a 2280 M.2 PCIe Gen 4×4 SSD. This can also be expanded by adding an SSD or HDD, as I mentioned earlier.
Taking all this into account, the new model demonstrates excellent performance, sufficient for handling even the most demanding tasks. Essentially, this device can handle everything from watching movies to rendering 3D models.
When it comes to gaming, everything comes down to the integrated graphics, which, while delivering solid performance compared to previous Intel integrated graphics cards , still falls short of today’s discrete solutions. This means you’ll be able to play even AAA titles, but only at moderate graphics settings in Full HD .
To be more specific, the indicators are as follows:
The results aren’t the best, but they’re perfectly adequate for while away the time playing your favorite game. Furthermore, nettops are hardly considered gaming devices, so it wouldn’t be entirely fair to be picky. Furthermore, we tested resource-intensive titles and didn’t experiment with the settings. However, with more modest titles, the gaming experience may become more comfortable.
The cooling system’s efficiency was a welcome improvement. The processor temperature rose to 82 degrees Celsius under load, which is normal. Fan noise remained low. While audible, it wasn’t uncomfortable. When performing simpler tasks, such as typing or surfing , the device remained silent.
Finally, let me remind you that the nettop features a modern Wi-Fi 7 module and a 3D antenna for improved connection quality. The final speed will depend on your plan, but in our case, it was sufficient for watching 4K movies and playing online games.
GEEKOM IT15 is a truly powerful mini PC designed for heavy-duty tasks and AI work.
To achieve this, it features a powerful processor, a good integrated graphics card, and ample RAM and storage, all of which are expandable. Additionally, the model boasts an effective cooling system, a wide range of modern interfaces, and the official version of Windows 11 Pro. All of this is housed in a compact and lightweight chassis, which also boasts a reinforced structure.
The manufacturer notes that you can use the promo code CUBIQIT15GK to get a discount on the purchase of this model, but the decision is entirely yours.
