With its upcoming game Deadlock, Valve has been busy. Curiosity was piqued by the action-shooter genre’s Overwatch aesthetic.
After a long break, Valve might release a new shooter-action game. With Steam Deck, the business—which is well-positioned in the game sector owing to the Steam store—also grew its market share. It was discovered through new allegations that a game known as Deadlock was created.
Valve rolls up its sleeves for Overwatch rival Deadlock
US sources have released new information about the enigmatic project known as Deadlock. It has reportedly been under production since 2018, and according to sources, the game’s origins are in the Half-Life universe. But in time, he was able to craft his own distinct science fiction universe.
Deadlock is reportedly a third-person shooter game featuring tower defense components. It is stated that Valve is developing six-player matches in this area. To improve the multiplayer experience, hundreds of gamers are participating in closed alpha testing.
Deadlock’s maps are defined as “huge battlefields divided into 4 lanes” in X, based on some assertions. In order to acquire control points, players will employ their skills and weaponry. Rail systems will also allow for quick navigation across maps.
The game takes place in a fantastical world where magic and technology coexist. It should be noted that while images revealing the game’s science fiction setting were leaked, they have not yet been verified.
Deadlock hasn’t been revealed yet, but years of development and playtesting indicate it might be ready. According to some pundits, the game might make its debut on June 7 during Summer Game Fest.
