New Grim Dawn Update Has Arrived: If You’re Bored with the New Season of Diablo 4, It’s Time to Give It a Chance
For those looking for something to play until the Diablo 4 DLC…
Although Diablo 4 managed to bring similar players back into its ecosystem with its release, many players started to leave Diablo 4 in the following seasons. Season 4 was very valuable for the company in this respect, so much so that many players returned to the game with Season 4, but their Diablo counterparts are not idle in this process. Grim Dawn, one of the oldest games of its kind, still continues to offer players a series of content with newer updates, and the developer team Create Entertainment today presented the long-awaited huge update to the players with the new Grim Dawn update .
New Grim Dawn update released
If you’ve had your fill of Diablo 4’s Season 4 and are now waiting for the Vessel of Hatred DLC, you may consider returning to Grim Dawn or starting it if you haven’t tried it before. A fantastical apocalyptic ARPG filled with creative character creation and choice-driven story missions just like Diablo and its counterparts, Grim Dawn has a 93% positive Steam review score from over 77,000 players and comes with developer Crate Entertainment’s massive new update full of improvements and tweaks. Together, it has managed to attract more players.

Touted as Grim Dawn’s “second largest update of content ever,” update 1.2.1 adds numerous new content to the game and also includes a number of bug fixes and improvements. This update may be just the right time for you, especially if you want to try the game before the Grim Dawn Fangs of Asterkarn expansion, which is expected to be released to players in the future.
What’s coming with the new Grim Dawn update?
If we have left a brief summary behind for those who have not yet experienced the game, let’s get into the details of the new update. One of the biggest changes in the update affects the appearance of Nemesis bosses. Powerful enemies no longer have a fixed spawn location, instead they will randomly spawn near you when you defeat monsters from their group, and this effect will be more noticeable in challenge areas. As before, you’ll only be able to encounter each Nemesis enemy once per entry.

Physical resistance has also been significantly rebalanced, further narrowing the gap between those who can be overloaded with massive percentage-based physical resistance and those who struggle to achieve it. Enemies will also deal less physical damage overall, resulting in a more consistent experience.
Item tooltips have also been changed with the new update and will now show much less information by default. Detailed descriptions for components, power-ups and skills will now only appear if you hold down the ‘detailed tips’ key. And if you’re someone who prefers to see everything all the time and doesn’t mind the clutter in the interface, you’ll also have an option to turn on these detailed tooltips by default in the menus.
The changes that come with the update are, of course, not limited to these and there are many more regulations and innovations.
