Plot. Former yakuza Ichiban Kasuga is rebuilding his life after the events of the seventh part of the series. When it turns out that his supposedly dead mother is alive and well in Hawaii, Ichiban immediately flies to look for the woman. On the island, the hero, by the will of fate, meets the legend of the underworld Kazuma Kiryu – and learns that for some reason they have the same goal.
Why are we waiting? Exactly then , why are they waiting for any part of Yakuza – or Like a Dragon, as it is now called in the West. The trailers promise that Infinite Wealth’s plot will break fans’ hearts. But there will also be many side tasks, and the mechanics of friendship with a dozen bright partners, and mini-games – from karaoke, traditional for the series, to photo hunting for townspeople in provocative outfits. It will even be possible to arrange your own island, like in Animal Crossing.
Additionally, Infinite Wealth will take characters outside of Japan for the first time in the series. On the streets of Honolulu, Ichiban and his friends will look for adventures on their own and destroy local gangs in turn-based battles.

Plot. The direct sequel to Tekken 7 begins a new chapter in the Mishima family conflict. Fighter Jin Kazama returns to battle with his father Kazuya as the world is at war because of both heroes. Suddenly, the mother of the protagonist Jun Kazama, who for many years was considered dead, makes herself known. Perhaps she and the other characters will finally be able to stop the chaos.
Why are we waiting? Tekken 8 will improve the already successful gameplay formula of the previous part. The environment is destructible; in three-dimensional arenas, fighters have room to turn around and use a whole arsenal of techniques. The fights, as always, are spectacular and fast-paced. Among the main changes is the Heat system: it temporarily changes and enhances the properties of many attacks. This encourages you to fight more aggressively.
As usual, the game will introduce several new characters, including a French agent with a katana and a hooligan who knows the martial art of Taido. Familiar heroes will be reworked: their appearance and balance will be changed, new techniques will be added and old ones will be modified. You can practice on different characters in several single and multiplayer modes.

Plot. In the future, a squad of elite Hell Marines tirelessly battles huge bugs and stupid robots. All for the sake of freedom, peace and democracy flourishing on planet Super-Earth.
Why are we waiting? Helldivers has the potential to be the ultimate co-op shooter . The game will make evil jokes, challenge you with shootouts and alternate locations that are dissimilar to each other. Some missions will throw the Marines into the rainy jungle, others into the desert, where the sand obscures the eyes. Players will be able to split up and take on different tasks, but ultimately everyone will come together to fight the boss .
In the 2015 original, you had to monitor the battlefield from above, but now soldiers can be controlled with a camera from behind. And in other respects, the sequel is reminiscent of classic multiplayer shooters, where players work together to complete tasks. However, the mechanics from the last part have not gone away. In Helldivers 2 , you also need to be on your guard: Marines can hurt each other or be crushed by a weapon box called from the sky at the wrong moment.

Plot. 1695, North America. Ghost hunter Red McRae wants to revive his beloved Anthea Duarte. After death, the girl turned into a ghost and now accompanies Red everywhere. To bring Anthea back from the world of the dead, the couple is forced to find a common language with ghosts.
Why are we waiting? The game is being developed by Don’t Nod studio, creators of the touching adventure Life is Strange and the harsh role-playing action Vampyr. So Ghosts of New Eden is sure to hook you with its plot and charismatic characters in difficult circumstances.
The story will be non-linear, with the ability to choose answers in dialogue and make plot-shaping decisions. You can force the heroes to give up their principles and start collaborating with the hated ghosts. Or you can weigh everything and not leave the path of struggle – and it’s not a fact that this will bring more benefit to the heroes.
In Ghosts of New Eden, you can control both heroes. In battles, Red will be helped by an impressive arsenal of weapons, and Anthea will be helped by superpowers. Frame: Focus Entertainment

Plot. At the end of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, the sullen mercenary Cloud Strife and his friends leave the fantasy metropolis of Midgar. In search of the villain Sephiroth, the team sets off on a journey through the lush expanses outside the city.
Why are we waiting? Rebirth, like the first part of the reimagining trilogy, is not a simple remake. The authors partially retell the plot of the 1997 original, but supplement the story with new details and context. Some points have been completely changed, including the most important plot twists. As a result, you play through a seemingly familiar game, but it gives no less impressions than a completely new title.
This is what captivates the new Final Fantasy 7 trilogy. No matter how much hardcore fans study the trailers, even they don’t know how the story of Cloud and his friends will end in the remakes.
The gameplay of Rebirth is the same JRPG with dynamic battles in real time. Heroes travel through forests, mountains and settlements of the open world. If you get tired of running around huge locations, you can jump on a chocobo riding bird or stand on a Segway. And if you want to take a break from the plot, you can look for side quests or play mini-games .

Plot. 1905, Warsaw under the rule of the Russian Empire. Thaumaturge Victor Shulski explores the city and looks for otherworldly creatures that have taken over the local residents.
Why are we waiting? The Thaumaturge is an isometric role-playing game with a lot of freedom of choice, reminiscent of Disco Elysium. It is created by people from the CD Projekt RED studio, known for the Witcher series. We are counting on at least a well-developed plot and interesting side quests.
This is also one of the few games about Poland at the beginning of the 20th century. Judging by the trailers, The Thaumaturge will take a good tour of a vibrant city of contrasts, where poor areas huddle in the shadows of wealthy neighborhoods.

Plot. Actress Emily Hartwood hires detective Edward Carnby to find her missing uncle. The investigation leads the partners to Derceto, a chilling estate where the forces of evil lurk.
Why are we waiting? This is a new reboot of the legendary 1992 horror Alone in the Dark. The gameplay basis is the same as in the original: two main characters wander through dark locations, solve puzzles and fight monsters. But now the camera is behind the characters.
Mikael Hedberg, author of the excellent horror films SOMA and Amnesia: The Dark Descent, is responsible for the script. We look forward to an equally creepy adventure with colorful characters and an intriguing plot.

Plot. The protagonist’s heart is stolen by a dragon. The protagonist gathers a squad and goes to fight the destroyer of worlds, and at the same time becomes a link in the political game of two countries. Each wants to benefit from the monster’s return.
Why are we waiting? Dragon’s Dogma 2 is not a direct sequel, but rather a reimagining of the original game. The plot has not changed, and the events take place in a parallel world. It also has its own dragon, stealing the hearts of warriors.
The gameplay basis was not changed either. The hero, together with his partners, explores the open world, completes tasks and fights monsters. The so-called pawns help him. These are not well-developed party members, but rather mercenaries who can be created and customized for yourself.
As in the first part, in Dragon’s Dogma 2 you can assign pawns to help other users. Even if you close the game, your subordinates will gain experience and level up. Pawn exchange is the only online component in the action; there will be no full-fledged co-op.
The sequel will feature battles with giant monsters, like in Shadow of the Colossus and Monster Hunter. You need to climb the giants and attack weak points. And the new version of the RE Engine adds interaction with the environment to Dragon’s Dogma 2 . Can’t win in battle? Blow up a dam and drown an enemy or bring down a pile of rocks on them.
